Biography
Beginning in 1986, for a period of almost 10 years, Bobby owned and operated the popular Jazz Club, Legends Of Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd. and later opened a 2nd Legends in Studio City, CA.  His band, the Hollywood Blvd. All-Stars, were the house band and hosted countless legendary jazz greats including Freddie Hubbard, James Moody, Supersax great Jay Migliori, Ray Pizzi, Tonight Show staples Ross Tompkins, Sal Marquez, Pete & Conti Condoli, Don Menza, Jack Sheldon, Herb Jeffries, Ernie Andrews, Jake Hanna, Sarah Vaughn pianist George Gaffney, Les Brown bassist Ernie McDaniel, Charlie Parker drummer Larance Marable & others. Bobby was President of The Hollywood Jazz Festival Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 and in 1995 produced Hollywood's 1st official Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Palladium through a grant from the City of Los Angeles.  Cottonwood sold his Club and moved to Sedona, AZ. later that year & began performing Jazz, Country, Rock, Blues & Dixieland to rave audiences & reviews in the No. Ariz. music scene at Fairs, Festivals & in night clubs, hotels & casino showrooms throughout N. AZ. & Las Vegas.  Since moving to Sedona in 1995 & then Las Vegas in 2006, Bobby has devoted much of his time as a Music Educator teaching Drums, Voice, Diaphramatic Breathing, Ear Training, Music Theory & Notation publically & privately at No. AZ. largest Magnet High School, Achieve Academy in Prescott
Valley for 1 year;  AZ Music Academy for 4 years in Prescott & currently at Premier Music Academy in  Las Vegas, NV. since 2006, and maintains a list of dedicated private students in AZ. & Las Vegas.
